A coronary intervention is a procedure intended to improve the functioning of your heart. If we suspect that you may have a blockage in your heart or restricted blood flow in your coronary artery, we may perform a coronary intervention. We perform cardiac catheterizations to assess how your heart and the surrounding structures are functioning. This procedure gives us a clear picture of your blood flow, heart valves, and surrounding structures so we can determine any potential issues. If we find a blockage or area with restricted blood flow during this procedure, you may need to have a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A PCI is a minimally invasive procedure that allows us to remove blockages or improve your blood flow. If you have any questions or if you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us.
